ethernet port CR1000x is not working after overvoltage incident

Azamat Sep 17, 2024 09:40 AM

The CR1000x data logger’s Ethernet port does not work after an overvoltage incident at the optical internet media converter. The 220-volt power supply burned out, the converter itself burned out, and it seems to have damaged the CR1000x Ethernet port. The port does not recognize any connection, although you can control the power to this port through LoggerNet. I turn off the power to the port through LoggerNet, turn on the power, and it seems to work but does not see any network connections. Other functions of the data logger are in excellent condition. The customer does not want to send it to the manufacturer for repair because the data will be lost until it is brought back. The data was sent to the customer’s FTP server every 5 minutes; they have home internet on site. How can I get out of this situation? Is it possible to connect some Ethernet communication device like the NL116 to the CR1000x?   I also have a Teltonika RUT955 router; can I connect it via RS-232, CS/IO ports for data transfer from the CR1000x? I will be grateful for your help.

NL201 can connect to CSIO and provides an Ethernet connection.
