Since the DNP3 implementation on the loggers is limited to outstation device capability, can anyone speak as to the success or failure to use objects 10 or 41 to provide set point or command values to the outstation device (the logger in this case) from a DNP3 server (such as a PLC)? The DNPVariable() command indicates that objects 10 and 41 are supported, but the only example using object 41 is within the DNPUpdate() help document and in that case it is reading and updating from itself, not an external DNP server.
Any help would be appreciated or examples if you have been successful with this use case. Any gotchas? Thanks.
