We've recently had a strange problem occur at three separate stations running on CR200X loggers.
It seems like for a single 60 second scan of a CS215 temp/RH probe, the temperature output was recorded without a decimal place. We noticed this because the hourly and daily max temperatures were over 20000 degrees.
I'm fairly certain the problem occured in a single scan as the hourly and daily averages were only slightly higher than expected. I've added a correction that if the temperature is over 100 C for a single scan, then the output is divided by 1000.
However, it would be interesting to know if anyone has had this problem, how often it occurs and whether anyhting can be done about it in the logger setup.
If the cables are long or there is a lot of electrical interference it could be the data is getting corrupted. To avoid this try using the "!MC" command instead of the "!M" command. This should force the sensor and logger to do a checksum validation of the message and try again if the data gets corrupted.
Thank you for the reply. The cables aren't particularly long, but there might be interference. I'll try the "!MC" as you suggested and see if it happens again.
