Overview
The SP370 is a 360–380 W photovoltaic power source capable of recharging batteries. It is used in systems that require high-power solar panels. The SP370 allows unattended operation of systems in remote locations, far from ac electrical sources. The cable length for the solar panel is user-selectable.
For ease with mounting the solar panel to the mast and leg braces of a CM106B tripod, mounting hardware is available as an accessory item.

The 38898 is a charge regulator that will charge at a rate of 15 A, making it well suited as a charge controller for large solar panels, such as a 305 W solar panel. The 38898 consists of a SunSaverMPPT charge controller and mounting hardware for mounting to a 2.54 cm (1 in.) grid backpanel.

Mounting Kit for the SP370
The 34493 is a mounting kit to mount the SP370 to a CM106B tripod. The upper arms mount to the mast, and the lower arms mount to the leg braces of the tripod. It includes two cords for cross-members to provide additional support for the mounting structure.

The SP370CBL is a replacement cable for the SP370 solar panel. One end of the cable is fitted with male and female MC4 connectors for solar panel attachment. The other end of the cable terminates in stripped leads for connecting to a charge regulator such as the 38898.

The CM106B is an adjustable tripod made of galvanized steel tubing. It is adjustable from 7 to 10 ft. Because the CM106B is made from tubing, it is lighter than our older tripods (CM6 and CM10), which are made with pipe. The CM106B is a general-purpose tripod designed for permanent or temporary installations. It can be used for mounting sensors, solar panels, antennas, and instrument enclosures.

The 34703 is a set of MC4 connectors, consisting of one pin (male) connector and one socket (female) connector. The connectors crimp onto 10 to 14 AWG wire, creating an IP67-sealed connection when mated. You can use these connectors if you need to repair an SP370CBL-L or if you desire to make your own SP370 cable.
